General Policies and Procedures

Personal Property

Cell phones, game boys, and other electronic equipment ARE NOT ALLOWED, for any reason, at the camp facility. All other personal property must have your child’s name on each item. Camp A Rama is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items, to include items that are left overnight.

Clothes

Children should wear sneakers, with socks, everyday (unless otherwise specified on trip days). Clothing should be weather appropriate and children should BRING A BATHING SUIT TO CAMP EACH DAY and bring a towel (water activities will be available on some days). Children should bring a smock to camp; children can and will get dirty, are using paints and craft items such as glue, etc., and should not wear clothing that you would not want to see ruined. Children are supplied with a locker every day for personal items. Please have your child bring a water bottle labeled with his/her name each day.

Sun Protection

Please put sun protection on your child prior to coming to Camp (SPF 30 recommended). We ask that you also pack (labeled) sun protection with your child.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items are displayed near the front door every day. These items will be kept for a short period before being donated. Please remember it is important to have all items labeled with your child’s name. Lost and Found items will be discarded at the end of each week.

Sign In and Out

All children must be signed in and out at the main desk. Parents must also show their ID when picking up their child. No child will be released without an ID. Remember to notify Camp A Rama if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child(ren).

Drop Off Procedure

Children must be walked into the building. Parents or authorized individuals should sign each child in. At no time should you drop your child off at the front door. When picking up your child, you MUST come in and sign your child out at the front desk. This is for the safety of your child(ren).

Lunch

Camp A Rama does provide lunch for your child each day, however, if you prefer, you may bring your child in with a bagged lunch labeled with their name on it. Please do not send your child in with glass containers. Our lunch menu is attached to the handbook. If your child has any food allergies you may want to consider having them bring a lunch as we are not a peanut free facility.

Snack

Camp A Rama has two snack times per day however we do not provide snacks. We recommend that you send your child to camp with snacks. We will store snacks in the refrigerator if needed. Please label all items your child brings to camp with their name.

Discipline Policy

The Camp director reserves the right to suspend or expel a camper at any time due to misbehavior. A Zero Tolerance policy is in effect for any child who demonstrates conduct that could cause themselves, another child or staff member harm. Vulgar language will not be tolerated. Disrespect toward another child or staff member will not be allowed. A staff member will call or personally speak to a parent/guardian when their child demonstrates misconduct. In-camp consequences include time-out or loss of participation in selected camp activities.

Financial Policies

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25 per child. No credit or refunds are given for absences. Payment is expected for all days registered whether attended or not except due to serious illness. If you know your child cannot attend a date registered, one (1) weeks’ notice is required to avoid charges.

Weekly Rate $195.00 per week (Sibling discount $175.00 per week, both children must register for 5 days)

 

Late Pickup Fees

There will be a late fee if your child is picked up after 5:30 pm. This fee must be paid at the time of the late pick up on the day applicable.
